Illawarra Regional Airport (IATA: WOL, ICAO: YWOL) is an airport located in Albion Park Rail, 18 km (11 mi) southwest of Wollongong, New South Wales.

The stadium is a multi purpose facility that caters for a variety of sports and community events. The stadium is located on Croome Rd, Albion Park.

HARS – the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society is an all volunteer group of Aviation Professionals and Enthusiasts who have premises at Wollongong Airport.

Bass Point Reserve is a 72 hectare coastal jewel, located just south of Shellharbour Village and contains one of the few littoral rainforest areas in the Illawarra.

Blackbutt Reserve is the largest natural bushland reserve in the Illawarra, covering 250 acres. The Reserve is a key feature of Shellharbour and is the last remaining viable remnant of coastal plain forest in the Illawarra.

The Shallows foreshore just south of Shellharbour Village is a scenic spot for a off leash walk with your dog. 
There are also gas BBQ's and picnic tables in the foreshore park near the second carpark. The third carpark is popular with surfers as it is right at "The Shallows" gentle reef break and has a cold water beach shower.

Killalea Beach or 'The Farm' as the locals know it is one of the most popular surfing beaches on the South Coast. One of the most important and unique facts about The Farm is that it faces to the south catching the south swell that predominantly runs up the coastline and is offshore in a northeast wind The Farm was declared a National Surfing Reserve in 2009. Note The Farm is not patrolled

Stockland Shellharbour is one of the largest shopping centres in the Illawarra area, located on Lake Entrance Road at Shellharbour City Centre, approximately 20 km south of Wollongong. It is owned and managed by Stockland, a property developer.
